Shibari for Mind, Body & Soul

Surrender, Connection, and Transformation

Shibari as a Tool for Reconnection

Shibari, or Japanese Rope Art, is more than knots and patterns; it is a transformative practice rooted in presence, trust, and embodied connection. Sacred rope work offers a powerful gateway to explore vulnerability, self-awareness, and intimacy. At My Tree Wellness, shibari becomes a meditative, somatic, and artistic ritual, supporting individuals and couples in returning to themselves, their partners, and their senses.

“Shibari is a moving meditation, where each knot weaves a story of trust, each breath deepens connection, and surrender becomes an art—anchoring us fully in the present moment.” — Kesh

1:1 Rope Sessions: Deeply Personal, Fully Present

My private rope sessions are a focused space to explore shibari as a personal, embodied practice. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced in rope, these one-on-one experiences are designed to meet you where you are, offering space to learn, receive, express, and feel.

As a rope bottom or self-tier, shibari invites you into a physical language of surrender, containment, and expression. You may come seeking emotional release, nervous system regulation, or simply the gift of deep presence. When paired with breathwork, sound healing, and frequency tools, rope becomes a grounding, sensual, and spacious practice for healing and reconnection.

These sessions are intentional, consent-based, and held with care. They can include hands-on rope work, self-tying support, sensation play, or meditative stillness, always guided by your desires, boundaries, and the rhythm of the moment.

Shibari as Individual Practice: Healing Through the Body

Shibari can be a profound support for those navigating personal healing. Within a secure, attuned space, the feeling of rope on skin helps ground the body, regulate the nervous system, and surface emotional layers stored beyond words. It invites a reconnection to self, a softening into sensation, and an honoring of your internal experience.

When integrated with other My Tree Wellness offerings, such as sound and vibrational therapy, energy work, or meditation, rope becomes not only an artistic or erotic tool, but a healing one. It supports trauma release, emotional integration, and the reclamation of pleasure and stillness.

Shibari for Couples: Cultivating Intimacy Through Rope

For couples, shibari creates a shared language of presence, care, and creative expression. Whether exploring for the first time or refining an existing practice, couples sessions offer skill-building, guided exercises, and space to co-create trust and connection.

Through the roles of tying and being tied, partners experience new dimensions of communication, vulnerability, and attunement. Rope becomes a meditation on consent, timing, and intention—deepening emotional and physical intimacy in a supported and educational environment.

A Holistic Approach to Rope Work

Shibari is not a substitute for therapy or a quick fix for emotional wounds, but when woven into a broader healing journey, it can open pathways to insight, empowerment, and embodiment. It asks us to be present. To listen. To feel. To let go.

At My Tree Wellness, rope work is offered not as performance, but as practice, ritual, relationship, and reverence.

Begin Your Rope Journey

I offer private 1:1 sessions, couples instruction, and small group classes that explore shibari as both a technique and a transformational experience. Whether you’re curious about the technical beauty of rope, seeking personal release, or longing for deeper intimacy with a partner, I provide a supportive space to explore safely, intentionally, and authentically.
