Shibari for Mind, Body & Soul

Surrender, Connection, and Transformation

Shibari as a tool in our journey of reconnection.

Shibari, or  Japanese Rope Art,  is much more than just intricate knots and beautiful patterns—it is a deeply transformative practice that fosters trust, surrender, and connection. Rooted in both tradition and modern exploration, sacred rope play is a powerful tool for self-discovery, reconnection, and intimacy, offering individuals and couples a unique way to explore their bodies, emotions, and relationships.

“Shibari is a moving meditation, where each knot weaves a story of trust, each breath deepens connection, and surrender becomes an art—anchoring us fully in the present moment.” -Kesh

Shibari as an Individual Support Modality

For those on a personal healing journey, shibari can be a powerful practice for release, embodiment, and emotional integration. As a rope bottom or self-tier, you can utilize the rope experience to explore surrender, containment, and self-expression in a safe, intentional space. When integrated with the holistic modalities offered at My Tree Wellness, including sound healing, meditation, energy, and frequency work, shibari becomes a profound tool for nervous system regulation, trauma release, and deep relaxation. The sensation of rope on the skin can provide grounding, allowing you to access new layers of trust, vulnerability, and emotional processing.

Shibari for Couples: Deepening Connection & Intimacy

Shibari offers couples a unique and intimate way to connect, communicate, and cultivate trust. Through the interplay of giver and receiver, partners engage in a dance of vulnerability, attunement, and presence. When practiced with intention, rope becomes a meditative and sensual experience that strengthens emotional and physical intimacy, fostering deeper connection and understanding. Whether you are new to rope or looking to refine your practice, Kesh offers instruction, education, and guidance to support you in exploring this powerful relational practice.

Shibari, while deeply powerful and transformative, is not a standalone tool for healing, nor is it a substitute for therapy or other modalities that address trauma, emotional challenges, or psychological obstacles. It is not meant to "fix" or bypass the deep work many of us carry. However, when approached with care and intention, shibari can be a profound practice for reconnection—with ourselves, our bodies, and others. It fosters embodied mindfulness, meditative presence, trust, and creative expression. As part of a broader journey, it can support healing and growth—but it is not a cure-all, and should be integrated thoughtfully alongside other forms of care.

Explore the Power of Rope

At My Tree Wellness, we offer individual, couple, and group sessions to support your education & exploration of shibari as a healing and connective practice. Whether you are seeking personal empowerment, emotional release, or deeper intimacy with a partner, our approach integrates shibari with holistic wellness to create a safe, nurturing, and transformative experience.

In addition to integrating shibari into intimacy and surrender practices, I also offer hands-on instruction for those looking to explore shibari as an artistic or erotic expression. Whether you’re drawn to the beauty of ropework, the deepening of trust, or the creativity of the practice, I teach the basics, foundations, and fundamental techniques to help you build confidence and skill.
